We’ll begin with pickup at the port, followed by a pleasant drive to the heart of the city. We’ll begin the tour at the Purchena Gate, a former access and meeting point, also home to the striking Butterfly House, a 20th-century building known for its elegant aristocratic architecture.
We’ll continue to the Alcazaba, an impressive Muslim fortress built in the 10th century by order of the first caliph of Al-Andalus, Abd al-Rahman III. This complex offers spectacular views and a window into the city’s Islamic past.
To conclude the tour, we’ll visit Almería Cathedral, a unique building that combines Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles and which originally also served defensive purposes.
